How AmQuel Works

Make sure you know which AmQuel you are using we sell and recommend concentrated pond AmQuel Plus.

AmQuel is an instant, easy to use tap-water detoxifier.

* Ideal for use in over crowded aquariums and pond and should always be on hand for emergencies!

AmQuel helps free aquariums and pond water of lethal toxins.

AmQuel treats tap water during water changes or when "top off" water is added..instantly detoxifying chlorine and Chloramine (and its components chlorine and ammonia) and to make water safe for aquatic life.

Ammonia created by fish - add AmQuel - converts to aminomethanesulfonate + water

(Toxic) (Non-Toxic)

Safe for reef & Live rock aquariums

A primary purpose in adding AmQuel to aquariums and ponds is to protect fish and invertebrates by quickly eliminating (actually detoxifying) the harmful components such as ammonia, chlorine, toxic pheromones and toxic organics. AmQuel accomplishes these tasks without slowing the nitrogen cycle, interfering with the beneficial bacteria involved or depriving these bacteria of their food.

In overcrowded aquariums, ponds or shipping containers where waste products from the fish can quickly collect, AmQuel can rapidly detoxify organics.

Another purpose of AmQuel is to detoxify organic compounds that accumulate in the aquarium and pond water over time, including noxious pheromones released by fish and aquatic invertebrates to signal and repel each other. this is especially important for reducing the frequency of needed water changes.

Among AmQuel benefits are that it is easy to use and equally effective in fresh and saltwater, and it does not affect the beneficial bacteria of the biological nitrogen cycle, the pH levels (acidity and alkalinity), and does not discolor the water. AmQuel has a long indefinite shelf life.
